    "Resin Colloidal Crystal Type" was developed for industrial use based on the same elements contained in naturally occurring opals, and is created with Kyocera's original gem synthesis technology. We succeeded in compressing colloidal crystallization in order to realize larger shapes or thinner sheets which couldn't previously be done before using conventional opal material. We recreated a specific coloring mechanism in resin which is the same as natural opal, and realized cost reductions while improving production capacity and processing capability compared to conventional opal material.
